Hawkesbury regional gallery is located in a landmark building designed to reflect the heritage values of the surrounding district. The gallery also holds public programs for those seeking to deepen their understanding of art, meet the exhibiting artists in person and make the most of their gallery experience. All exhibitions aim to be thought-provoking, challenging and educational in the broadest sense of the word. At least some exhibitions come through the extensive network of public art museums of which the hawkesbury regional gallery are part. This partnership alleviates the need for the other councils to establish their own facilities and duplicate services and delivers savings in the more efficient use of all council’s resources. The Hawkesbury Sister City Association undertakes cultural and community activities for the program, like the annual international student exchange visits. The partnership enables the Hawkesbury community to be directly involved in the program through the Association, and allows Council to extend the value of its financial contribution to the program, through the experience and elective work Association members. Council is committed to providing our customers with trustworthy and responsive service.
